Erik DeYoung, DDS, MS
Dr. Erik DeYoung was born in Grand Haven, Michigan. He was raised in Georgia and attended the University of Georgia, finishing his degree early, allowing him to work in dentistry in the greater Atlanta area. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan in 2010. While attending the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, he began to appreciate the challenge and complexity that endodontics afforded and the focus and patience that it required. Following graduation from U of M, Dr. DeYoung began his residency in Endodontics at Marquette University where he earned his Certification in Endodontics and Master of Science in 2012. Dr. DeYoung has research experience studying the effects of cardiovascular disease on dental pulps, and he completed his Master’s Thesis investigating medications for post-endodontic discomfort.
Dr. DeYoung and his wife, Katie, enjoy spending time together and with their two dogs, Joey and Sam. They welcomed their wonderful daughters, Alexandra, in September, 2015, and Eleanor in December, 2017. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys good food, video games, and puzzles.
