Technology

Utilizing the latest technology, our doctors provide a comfortable experience throughout the appointment with local anesthesia, a surgical microscope, and titanium files. With our experienced team’s dedication to efficient care, most procedures are completed in one visit.

Operating Microscopes

We utilize special operating microscopes on every procedure. Magnification and fiber optic illumination are helpful in aiding the doctor to see tiny details inside your tooth. Also, a tiny video camera on the operating microscope can record images of your tooth to further document the doctor’s findings.

Digital Radiography

Digital radiographs allow us to use less radiation and take fewer images than with traditional dental x-rays. This is also a valuable method to communicate with your dentist in an electronic format.

CBCT Imaging

Our office uses the latest in endodontic imaging using CBCT imaging. Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans are easy, non-invasive, and accurate. The CBCT creates a high-resolution 3D model of an area of the mouth, providing cross-sectional views of teeth not possible with conventional radiographs (X-rays). It helps us improve the speed and accuracy of diagnosis and find the most predictable treatment options.

The added clarity of the CBCT images enhances our ability to see the full anatomy of the teeth and other vital structures, such as the sinus and nerve bundles. We are also able to more accurately find other potential issues that could affect treatment, including resorption, signs of vertical fractures, or problems with previously root canal treated teeth, helping us avoid unnecessary exploratory procedures and unpredictable treatment options.

Electronic Apex Locators

In all cases, electric apex locators will minimize the number of x-rays needed to complete root canal treatment. It aids our doctors in accurately measuring the length of the canal(s) in your tooth.

Ultrasonics

Ultrasonic handpieces and instruments can be valuable tools to remove or loosen obstructions that would otherwise prevent reliable endodontic therapy.
